Founded in 1954, the charity has grown over the years to become the organisation it is today. Whilst the model of approach has evolved over recent years, our ultimate aims and objectives have remained the same – to make a positive and lasting difference to the lives of the young people and adults in our care.

Cotswold Chine School is founded as an independent special school

2001

The Clinical and Therapy department is established

2006

Cotswold Chine School and Paradise House merge to form Novalis Trust

2010

Ebley House becomes the charity’s headquarters and home to its Clinical Therapy Centre

2012

Dr. Sandra Bloom delivers training in the Sanctuary Model

2013

The Novalis Model is established

2013

The Halfway Café opens to provide work experience opportunities for young people and residents

2017

The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics is integrated into the Novalis Model

2018

Novalis Trust launches two nationally recognised regulated qualifications in trauma-informed care and working with families

2019

Novalis Trust merges with William Morris College

2022

William Morris College changes to William Morris School
