Children’s Support Worker (Welfare Boarding Worker)
Term-time 39 weeks pa
William Morris School, (Eastington, Stonehouse, Glos GL10 3SH), part of Novalis Trust, is a charity that supports children with neurodevelopmental difficulties. The school is one of the few educational establishments in the country to adopt a truly ‘trauma-informed’ and ‘trauma-responsive’ approach to care, therapy and education.
We are currently seeking dedicated term-time only welfare staff to work in our small 39-week boarding provision, due to open in April 2026.
Hours: 39 weeks pa, term-time only working a two-week fixed rota which is on average 40 hours per week & two sleep-ins. This will also include working some weekends. Full and part time options available.
You will be establishing key support relationships with pupils in their boarding provision while providing them with the care, guidance and support they need to thrive. We offer a supportive environment with a fixed two-week rota.

Clinical and Therapy Assistant

The Clinical and Therapy Assistant position is based at William Morris School and works as part of a well-established, multi-disciplinary therapy team, supporting within the different settings across the charity, such as within the education, therapy and boarding settings.
Responsibilities for this role:
- Supporting children in their therapy goals and taking part in group sessions.
- Following skills and therapy programmes as directed and devised by the therapist.
- Assisting with the implementation of identified, individual strategies in workshops to support development.

Youth Support Worker

Requirements for the role:

SEN Design Technology Teacher

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of a Design Technology teacher at William Morris School. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and resilient teacher to lead our Design Technology department to ensure high quality learning takes place for our pupils aged 7-19.

The Design Technology Teacher role is based at William Morris School and works as part of a well-established team. We welcome teachers from all backgrounds and levels of experience looking to either begin a career in special educational needs or develop their existing skills in our environment.
Role Purpose
- To plan and deliver high-quality Design and Technology education for children and adults with neurodevelopmental difficulties and additional learning needs, enabling learners to express themselves creatively, build confidence, and develop artistic skills appropriate to their individual abilities.
About the Role
- Teach Design & Technology across KS1–KS4, including GCSE Design & Technology (AQA).
- Lead curriculum design, resourcing, health and safety and quality assurance.
Manage and maintain D&T workshops for safe, effective practical learning. - Teach and nurture a small class group of 4–8 pupils with support staff.
- Help develop workshop areas including CAD/CAM, Product Design, Graphics, 3D Design, and more. Our workshop is expanding and includes a laser cutter, 3D printer and pillar drill, with a scroll saw and belt sander soon to be installed.
- Collaborative Culture – Be part of a team that values flexibility, resilience, and strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes creativity, emotional expression, and wellbeing

The IT Technician position has a workload consisting of technical systems administration duties and end-user support working alongside an existing team and the IT Services Manager. Most work will remain office based either at the Trust’s headquarters or its other sites as needed.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a candidate just leaving full time education studying an IT related qualification and starting a career in IT. You will be guided into the role using the technologies and tools in use at the Trust by the existing team, but a fundamental understanding and good knowledge of concepts will be required.
Responsibilities for this role:
- Act as first-line support for end users, troubleshooting IT faults and ensuring all requests are logged.
- Travel to local schools to provide occasional onsite support where required.
- Act upon requests/reports to solve unexpected IT problems and ensure all requests are logged.
- Provide support to IT users, including provision of technical classroom support including providing IT training for school staff.
- Take responsibility for the maintenance of computer software and hardware and liaise with IT equipment suppliers and visiting engineers as appropriate.
- Liaising with students and parents who require support in accessing and using appropriate school systems.
- Undertake first/second line maintenance.
- Administer accounts, email and user groups ensuring these are secure and up to date.
- Provide advice and support to members of the teaching staff regarding the use of IT equipment.
- Undertake professional development to ensure technical knowledge and expertise remains contemporary to deliver the role.

- Install new and upgraded computer software and hardware.
- Install and maintain all peripheral devices within the school.

- To assist in the setup and maintenance of the school’s audio and visual equipment for assemblies, functions and events, such as sports day & activities week
- Develop online media resources in conjunction with staff and departments.
- Providing a timely and appropriate response to end-user support issues from an IT support helpdesk.
- Writing documentation able to be understood by any level of IT skill.
